 This was taken on Stage 4 of the Wyedean Forest Rally at Chepstow Race Course.

I had fun taking the pictures, I'd never been to a rally before and had wanted to for years so this was the perfect excuse. It also gave me the chance to try out my 70-300 IS lens I bought a few weeks ago on setting 2 for panning.

Cropped, USM, adjusted sat slightly.

Very pleased with 23rd. Thanks for the great comments, this is only my 3rd entry and I am learning loads of new things.

I really don't understand the 1's and 2's though, oh well!

What did I learn from this challenge:
Creatively using the shutter speed to get motion blur
The Unsharp mask. Never used it before, works really well!

I like it, but i think there should be a little more room for the car to go in to the photo, because it feels very center weighted

This really is a great shot. I wish that there was a bit more pan to really create a stong effect of speed. The background is a bit too still to give me that extreme feeling. The wheels however to give that feeling of speed.

The advertisers would love this sharpness. I would love to see a shot like this from a perspective where I can see under the chassis. Great capture.

Nice pan, I like how sharp the car is. Would like it better if the car was a little further to the left of the photo so it had more room to drive into the photo.
