All data are irregular. ISO is 200 and f stop is f5.6. My very first try at portraits with the D70. Now, my camera is gone.:( |

Great picture.
But, tell me how you got ISO 100 on your D70! I want it too. OMG! It's shot at f/100 too? Highly irregular.

Wonderful Picture - Just the fullest credit to the photographer and to the lady who gives the stare. The lady looks superb with those 2 hairlines on her face.
Its on my desktop already.
I LOVE THE PHOTOGRAPH ! |

Manny to be quite honest I think this shot is far more interesting than the 1st prize if only because it is not a studio shot like the other one...it breathes real life while the other does not. this is my opinion only and does not commit anybody but myself:-) |

I can't believe I "made" it to the top three this time. After 3 fourth place finish, I though the ribbon will continually elude me. I am very overwhelmed with the results and I knew the competition was so stiff after looking at the other entries.
Anyway, this picture of my student in my Psychology class last semester is a stroke of luck. Trying out my new D70, I came across Kittie on the hallway and I asked her to pose for me (and enter her picture in a competition if it turns out well). She relented. The background is the white wall of our school.
And by the way, Kittie is on the cover of a Thai magazine this week. She is a part-time ramp and print ad model.
THANK YOU EVERYONE for giving me my first ribbon! And to the one who gave me a 1, I actually like it as it reminds me of how much I have to learn yet in the field of photography. |

The hair blowing across her face is what does it for this photo. I get the sense of movement by it and at the same time her eyes are looking at me in a frozen stare. Good composition, the negative space on the right in the direction of the wind blowing is a good touch. I also like the way the thumb is pointing in that direction. I personally would have done a little extra photoshop work on the eyes, a slight bit sharper and also I would have dodged the whites of the eyes to make them a tiny bit lighter. |

I like the expresion, the hair acros the face, the skin color against the white shirt, all very good. But it is missing something, maybe needs a totally white background to add impact. A strong light against the wall. |

One of my favorites. Great expression and color- nicely done. Minor nitpicks... the blown-out collar, soft focus on the hand and the red spot by the nose that could have easily been fixed. Still great. 9 |

This is a great pose. Sharper on those eyes and then softening up the rest of the face (the nose seems most prominent and focused). Very good |
