 Well, I impaled a hunk of baguette on three skewers which I had stuck through some black paper. Many, many shots and a large quantity of honey later, I came up with this shot that I liked pretty much. this is not an easy subject.

Convert from RAW. Crop, slight levels, sharpen.

Very pretty and yummy looking too. I love the clarity and color of the bread. The slow dripping honey is a very nice touch. Good luck!

Oh man, i'm really hungry. I like the textures on this, but only kind of begrudgingly accept the composition. I like the lighting a lot.

Depth of field spoils it a bit, because you were that close to getting the elusive bread texture. Excellent (and appetising) stuff either way.
