I never used the panning feature on my camera before. I tried using it with my dog and with cars, but I could not get the panning effect to come out noticeably. So, I had some fun with my armadillo who hangs out with me at the office. I know his head is a little out of focus - that's because he's a bobble-head! I was hoping that it would add to the feeling of motion. Just adjusted contrast and sharpened a bit.

The background could be a little blurier but i like how the armadillo is in focus.

This is the definition of "running out of ideas". With that said, you did pan and that was what the challenge called for.

The panning effect is too subtle for me. Try a longer shutter to accentuate the feeling of motion. Ferry funny composition. Love that the head is bobbling!

This is intristine, but the Armadillo is out of foucus a little bit, but it's creative!

After seeing the image of the African Crowned Crane, I came back to bump this image up. There is somewhat of a resemblance!!! BOL

Cute subject. I'd like to see more panning motion; otherwise, it feels like it's just blurry.

The bright window in background bothers me a little. Cool idea though!

How unusual! Panning adds to the feeling of movement, which of course gets across the "flying" point.
