First snow we have had where I live in 5 years so I shot a lot of photos that day. It was an accident that I had my camera set to ISO 800, but it turned out ok anyway. The snow was pretty much all gone by the end of the day.

Shot in raw, converted to b/w with photoshop's "black and white" filter. Did some dodge/burn especially on the wagon...applied sharpening with "smart sharpen" (once when I first opened it for a "capture" sharpen and again for final sharpening once I resized for web).

i really like how the background is so soft compared to the wagon - the snow fall adds just the right amount of 'real time' to the image

hehe, did you create the scene or is that how you found it? kudos to you for either Jason, its a simple shot made sooo much more interesting with the tracks. Looks like another week 6 entry here where the fotog pre-empted leading lines lol.

This gets to me: childhood, the express wagon, snow late in the day already turning disappointingly wet, the house in the back but remote from whatever activity in the snow or with the wagon...

You remind me that abandoned toys have plenty of meaning for adult viewers. The sinuous path in the garden and signs of recent activity - yet no one being there - add to the story.

Very nice, I like the soft look. nice how the path left in the snow leads you through.

Verrrrrrrry nice ! ! ! ! For this winter-deprived Texan. . .this warms the soul :)

A very good winter scene! I like the curves created with the wagon tires and really like the visible snowflakes falling. Creates a cozy mood despite the apparent cold of the snow.

That wagon just looks sad sitting there like that. I like what you've done with the tracks connecting the house and wagon. If you had a child there it would have been something else to see him/her pulling the wagon!

Nicely composed photo and it must have been fun taking advantage of novelty weather. I wish I could say ours would be gone by the end of the day.

Like the angle and the fact that the snow shows in the frame. Nice idea to include the tracks also.
