I don't what to say about this. I think the dragon was a happy accident of HDR and the clouds moving. Thought about saving it for the FS, but now I have to find something else. :)

the HDR really brings out some nice textures in the water - but it seems to be at the expense of some unfortunate noise throughout

Nice work turning a muddy field into a great photo! Not sure about some of the editing on the fg log and definately a place to revist often ;)

Somehow even though the sky is about 1/2 the photo, it feels like it is huge, maybe its the reflections in mud. Great photo and I think you might have a prob topping this at FS, or maybe not

Dang - I don't see the dragon. I'm sitting here looking around and it's not there. But what I do see is this barren tree sticking out in the middle of nowhere - and it looks beautiful. It's stark and dramatic and begs you to look at it.

You remind me that the void is a useful part of composition. The single dead trunk and the silvery tone all over work together to make this an image to which I find it hard to attach words. But that is the whole point. A picture tells a thousand words.... you did.

Great shot and nicely done with the HDR. I really like the clouds an dthe reflection in the mud.

This is excellent, the perspective and and "Big Sky" feeling is really great. I like the sense of aloneness. It does seem like the horizon is tilted slightly.

Great capture with a great title. Looks like the dragon created a wasteland with a single powerful pass.

I've become a huge fan of this lens. The perspective it offers is unique, and can make a fairly ordinary scene look spectacular. This photo is no exception...love it!

This is beautiful. I love how all your work has this beautiful, dramatic look. Can I be like you when I grow up please??? I want all my pictures to look like this!

i really like the landscaping here and the contrast with the different textures. I would say though that the composition seems a bit off to me. The horizon looks tilted unless that is a hill to the right. I almost want a landscape crop instead of a square crop as to see more of the land behind the stick in the mud. Very cool though.

Nice job on the HDR without overdoing it. Before I saw the dragon I saw the tree, which to me looks like somebody getting down on the dancefloor.

What a desolate place - and is that ice?? Nice editing as always!

I like this one. Looks like a barren wasteland from a sci-fi movie. And great detail near to far.

I'm so not a fan of HDR but this looks nice. Minus a few edges you well captured the feel of this place said having never been there. Serene...secluded...creepy...it's all there.

The sweeping perspective is wonderful - great desolate feel to it.

I'm getting tired of HDR because it doesn't seem to be used for a reason lately...but your shot is excellent. You have used the higher dynamic range to just accent the bark of the tree and texture of the foreground, without going overboard and the sky looks "photographic" rather than HDR cartoonlike. I would have considered burning that foreground log to make it very dark to kinda add a natural frame, but it is a lovely composition.

Nice capture with the "dragons breath". Looks very desolate and lonely. Is that ice?

The midwest expression for something rather ordinary - stick in the mud - comes to mind, but this view & work is far from ordinary.

The thing are drawn to most here is the long branch sticking up form the water on the right. I like the desolate feel of this short, well supported by the high contrast. The black near the bottom of the shot doesn't add much though.

Just stunning landscape. Love the metallicness of the B&W - wonderful.

This looks good, I like b&w hdrs and how it made the texture on the wood. I would score it hight in fs but some might not like the bright sun on the left.
