 This is my neighbors' cat, "Kitty". Her real name is "Yoda", but they just call her Kitty. My daughter has been taking care of Kitty while our neighbors are away on vacation, so I went over with her to take some pictures using my brand new lens. This is my first photo taken with the 50mm f/1.2 that I've processed. I'm in love with this lens. Kitty was sitting at the top of the basement stairs, and it was quite dark in the room.
I had only cloudy, late afternoon light from two windows, about twelve feet to the left. The catchlights in Kitty's eyes are the windows. Focusing was somewhat of a challenge. I thought that I had the lens completely wide open at 1.2, but I noticed later that it was set at 1.4.

I think that little sliver of DOF is great here - good that she's a persian kitty and her face is so flat. :) Just zeros in on those eyes and lets everything else fade away - great.
