The other day I was able to get some pictures of Cartesia laying around. This is not her usual state but she has been sick. I think you can really see it in her eyes in this picture.

Doing catchup on my commenting so am hoping Cartesia is up and about causing mischief again :)

Another lovely portrait, natural and honest. tbh she looks like a different girl here to the last image I commented on, methinks she will be breaking a few hearts when she is older!

What I learn from your photo is about giving the subject dignity, yet sharing that intimate, private moment with the viewer. Not always an easy composition to do. But you did and I learned.

Nice somber shot, she does look tired and worn out in her eyes.

Poor baby. Mine look like that when they have a fever. Great lighting on her face. And such a pretty name!

Awwwwwwwwwww poor lil thing!! I think this is a lovely portrait... I like the tight crop and the fact that you captured true emotions here, moments like this are not the ones we may want to remember but it's part of life and should be recorded too! =]

Hope she's feeling better now!

Awww, hopefully she's feeling better! Normally I'd say that this could use a bit more light on the face, a bit more contrast, but in this instance the gray, low contrast feel fits the picture very well.

Look at all the views this has!

Very sweet moment captured. Her poor glazed eyes tell a story. Hope she's feeling better by now.

Poor Cartesia! I hope she is feeling better now. The skin/hair tones are very good, and there is nice detail in her eyes, especially her right eye. I think I might like it a little better if the crop wasn't as tight.
