 Usually, Gorillas don't like to look directly at you, but this one I felt I had a real connection with.

Who won? I like the fact you did not do a close up subject. Strong even at a distance. A little more contrast in the image is the only suggest I would make.

It looks like the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but I suppose it could be any of many zoos around the world. Very nice framing, exposure, and timing on the pose. It really does look like a stare rather than a glance.

If you had the equipment to get closer to the face & with the right amount of crop, this pair of eyes would have been great
