The shadows and the exposure disturb the image. Not sure if you have contact on or if you just over saturated the eye color but nice color. |

buenos dÃÂas! A very intensive stare you got there, but very natural and fitting. A touch over exposed on some skin areas which robs ths skin tones somewhat. Still a good entry though, good on ya! |

Overexposed skin and crummy background, but awesome eyes. Focus is just a tad too soft for my liking as well. |

such piercing green eyes - real?...nicely posed but a bit overexposed on right side |

i really like this straightforward shot. lighting is a bit hot but i think it works fairly well. i think it might work even better with a lighter colored background for a totally highkey effect. great highlights in the hair and those eyes! the only other nitpick i have is the multiple catchlights in the eyes. this being an advanced editing challenge, it's the perfect opportunity to fix that with editing. |

I like this portrait alot as I find the subject compelling and interesting to look at...especially his hair, which imo carries the picture. The lighting is too harsh and you've lost detail in parts of the face and shoulders. Also, not too crazy about the green color of his eyes, as they look unnaturally colored. I don't think the background works here as the color doesn't match the eye color and it's print is somewhat distracting. |

I like the lighting and composition - the slight tilt of the head makes a huge difference. - 8 |

A great capture of the subject's personality - something every portrait should strive to do. I like the tones and the lighting. |

I must say.. the shot didn't go down well on first sight... I relook at it again... it certainly deserved a 7. I must say it's an "aquired taste".. one of the more unique shot I've seen... the lighting is a little strong... might want to try to soften it a little! (I always have this problem too!!) cheers. |

Intense green eyes. I don't really care for the background. Little blown out on the right but a pretty good entry all in all. |

Wow! Green eyes added or for real? Crop on he right needs to be tighter. BOL |

I find this background distracting... and I don't like the center framing. |

I like the expression and somber mood. The background is too much in focus and really detracts from the portraite. I'd suggest a tighter crop and narrower dof (the eyes are really the story here!) |

The eyes say it all. Very emphatic portrait with bold highlights - they may be blown out but that adds to the effect. A tighter crop to the right, just into the hair, making the image asymmetrical, might work as well. |

Good capture but playing down the green channel in the skin will cause you to totally lose out on some of the definition in the higher keyed areas. I like the texture shown in the hair. Its artistic and technically sound so that's what I'll score it on but I just don't personally like it too much. Good job with it, tho. |

This is an awesome shot!
I quite like the pose and expression. The green eyes a plus and I don̢۪t mind the highlights on the edge of blown-out on this. I think it adds to the over-all expression of the work. The detail is superb. This would make an excellent High-key portrait with a drop out background. The busy background is fighting for the viewer̢۪s attention. My only suggestion would be to replace it with something subtle. 9
