 This is a recessed door in one of the old adobes. There's a step, and a lot of people sit there to take a smoke or get out of the sun for a bit. I happened to be walking along with my camera, and caught this disembodied hand ... I hope it doesn't creep too many people out.

Cool picture. I love the mystery the hand creates. I want to know what the whole person looks like and are they there smoking, resting, or something else.

The hand is nicely in focus and disjointed (sorry) from the slightly oof wall. Nice use of dof. Very eerie effect

yes mysterious shot. I agree with the cropping too. I think that if you crop out the left side of the wall, it will give it a different feel to it.

very cool shot and leave it to you to have seen this! i love the clean feel of the building, it really plays well off the dangling hand

wonder what she was doing? practicing a bit of her drama class roles??

I agree with hajeka, cropping that out would make this so much stronger!! I do like the hand though, it makes you look twice at it, otherwise it would just be a wall!!!

Great capture. Makes you wonder who's behind the hand. Must be one of those moments that you're happy to have a camera with you. Perhaps some crop (just removing the left wall in the shadow) would also works very well.
