I just feel this is not worthy of a portrait entry in all aspects. its not a pose, expression, lighting and exposure are poor.

Sort of snap-shotist. Photo seems a little hazy or washed out, and soft on the focus.

A great interpretation....had to laugh at your title and shot. Good job.

Seems more like a candid snap than a portrait. I guess technically it's a portrait, but the subject's head is actually a very small portion of the total image and not well lit at that. Hard to get much from what's here...

this may sound presumptuous (apologies if it does) but this is exactly how my images look straight out of my Rebel. Generally they come out a bit soft, and a bit flat. If it were mine, I'd use both curves and unsharp mask to really bring my subject into light. That's a preference thing, and presumably just my taste - but it's what I'd do. Either way, this is a really fun portrait.

too much out of focus and looks like a snapshot. not very good.

Love how the title reflects the subject. Good luck!

Looks like a snapshot. It's a good snap shot, but the focus is a little soft.

I wonder what this says about the subjct? The over the shoulder pose is a good idea and the background is nicely out of focus. Maybe the large amount of background doesn't add much to the portrait and a tighter crop would help?
