 On Saturday, I catered a dinner for 12. The host cooked the meat - so to speak. It was a 9 pound strip steak (very expensive). He started by lighting the meat on fire and charring it all around. Then he over cooked it, cut it open and let all the juices run out. That's kind of a regular thing for him - to ruin huge hunks of expensive meat.

I had to document it, of course and he doesn't seem to mind when I take photos of him.

Everything else was made by me, but I was too busy to take other photos of the food or the event.

Well, the charring sounds ok, but the rest just makes me sad. He looks like a big hunk of expensive meat himself. Maybe you could BBQ him and serve him up at your next get together.

Time to turn the heat down a bit. Good way to sear in the juices though. Cooking lessons.

oh well, one man's ruined meat is another's image of how people can just irk thhe hell outta you>..how wer you able to bite your tongue during this display?? sigh...

at least I know the food you prepared was delish!! I'll bet the guests were immensely grateful!! :)

Tee hee. . .that was my first thought when I saw this: "Auuuuuuughhhhhh. . .he is RUINING that thick beautiful steak/roast!!!" What a waste. But it does in fact make for an interesting photo :)

Ah, a man and his grill!! You should know that every guy knows the 'best' way to cook on the grill, I've learned not to butt in! nice shot of the flames!
