 This was my entry for the Earliest Memory Challenge. One minute later and I missed the dead line. Need to synchronise my watch with DPC :(
Except for the scratches and textures, there are no manipulations.
Of course the original entry was without this artistic look. I really prefer this version.

I was just thinking "Has De Sousa had any recent entries?" and decided to check out your most recent portfolio entry. Wow, so glad I did. This is a terrific photo. It's "simply" a real breast with a distressed overlay, right? Amazing how it looks like a mannequin blending into a human nipple. Really striking.

I really like the way you've created an old doll's look that gently bleeds into the real. This is probably one of the best and most meaningful uses of overlays that I've seen on the site.

I'm also glad that it's not tarnished with a score (good or bad). An image like this needs to stand alone. Keep it between you an the viewer.

Ha - is that a pacifier charm? :) I like how this texture makes the breast appear to be that of a mannequin.

The overlay really makes this into a work of highly intriguing art. Otherwise it would have been just another (albeit well photographed) boob. Excellent image! Brilliant.

WOW .. love how your overlay has turned this into a cracked and split looking sculpture giving it a real aged look .. love how its jagged .. earliest memory with a twist .. altho piercing's may'v been around a lot longer than i thought and i spose its not necessarily your earliest memory !!
looks like a baby's dummy hanging from the piercing .. BRILLIANT !!!

Interesting. Is it a plaster of paris cast?
Or did you make that effect?

Cool shot, I like the texture used. Looks like paint chipping of the breast and all the elements and composition in the photo draw you directly to the nipple. If that was your earliest childhood memory then your mom was ahead of her time:)
