I can never tell where these will end up at the end of the process. (But that's true with almost all of my art pieces) This started with three almost identical images of a sea jelly (dead) that I found on a rather smelly beach a while back. I found the reeds in part of another image, inland, and worked it over quite a lot to get what I wanted. The result is here.

I'm not naming these yet. The right names will come eventually.

to get from here to there, I sharpened repeatedly, made it B&W, and used a gradient from colors in the jelly.

I don't know that I would ever have guessed what this was a picture of. I've never seen a jellyfish like that before. But I like the color scheme and overall texture of the final image. Very cohesive.

brilliant result from a dead jelly !!!
the colouring is excellent and the amazing sharpness and silver metallic look is fantastic .. WOW !!! ..:)

Looked in on your original sea jelly. They actually have a very pretty pattern about them. I like the colors in this and the way you composed the three. Another nice abstract - and I would have never known what the main subject was without you telling us.
