 The train station is "non-smoking" except for these yellow squared areas and except for the folks who wander around smoking anyway. I just get a kick out of the folks who stand inside the square, which in no other way is separated from the rest of the station.

OMG - that's a riot!! I haven't been in Germland since 1991, and so I'm sure there are quite a few changes - the smoking restrictions being one of them. I have to say, that is so very German to put a yellow square on pavement and expect people to stand in it to smoke - and even more German that they do. I'll have to tell my mom about this - since I grew up in Germany, she lived there, too - though not as long as I did.

That is so funny. The more I think about it, that cracks me up. And they are so dutifully following orders and not geting outside their assigned box. What a great urban slice of life. I love this.
