 This is BHP-Biliton's steel production plant at Port Kembla. Every 5 minutes these sorts of emissions are thrust into our atmosphere. Only two stacks were operating today but there are about ten in all at this plant.

Your processing really emphasizes the "dirty" nature of this plant. I can imagine that thing spewing out of all the stacks and it must be an amazing amount of pollution. This makes me want to go out and document the plants around here.

Your processing really brings across the gritty and grimy aspect of this plant. I can almost feel the emissions falling out of the sky. Very dramatic sky which really becomes an element in the composition. Nicely done.

That smoke is really beautiful. Too bad it's pouring pollutants into the environment.

I am always so sad to see such pollution put into the air. Great capture of something so "ugly". The picture really gives off a pollutant feel; hope that makes sense.

Fantastic image! Having a cloudy sky really works, as it gives the impression that all of the stuff in the sky could be coming from that stack... Love how the image is so gray with just that little touch of color.

OMG....What a fantastic illustration of industrial pollution. The image is just a bit noisy, but even that adds to the gritty message. Wonderful capture, excellent editing.
