 I used my Canon Rebel XTi with a super wide angle lens attached. I projected light from a desk lamp onto the right side of my subject's face. The light made his pupil contract, showing more of his iris and the details inside his beautiful blue.

In Photoshop, I desaturated the color to a greyer hue because I didn't like the red and pink color it previously had. I like this photograph because his nose is in the center and divides the dark and light colors. Your eyes are immediately drawn to his right eye, and then are brought around the rest of the photograph.
