 After taking about 150 shots of various different parallel structures, I decided to go with my absolute favourite, which ironically enough was among the first shots I took but had rejected early on for its lack of mass appeal. I wouldn't be surprised if it scores very low in this challenge, however, as it does rather stray from conventional photography. I took many pictures that might be more appealing to a general public but my heart was in this one... :)

The picture is actually of pine trees outside a screen window, changed to b&w and with the added soft yellow tint to give it the feel of a silk screen. What I liked about it is that the positive and negative traded on their own -- the light appears as solid background, the trees appear as wholes in the screen.

The screen is in good focus, and obviously you wanted the background to be out of focus, which it is, but my eyes keep trying to see what is there and it is intriguing.

great shot, plays tricks with your eyes. Great rigid parallel lines and the random disruptive pattern behind. This deserves to finish well.

I like the texture this provides but need some kind of focal point or more of a composition. I also wonder if it would be better taken face on so that the lines remained vertical and horizontal throughout the frame. Nice light and shadow patterns though...

Lots of p/lines, but the composition doesn't really hold my interest.
