Lovely close up. Perhaps a softer lightsource to reduce specular highlights and harsh burnt out areas would have been better. Going duotone with a warmer hue might have suited the theme/title IMO

Doesn't sparkle, feels a little flat. Subjects like this need to have absolutely perfect subjects and this one shows some dameage/scratching.

DoF is perfect but I think the focus will be better on a more interesting part, top right IMHO. 5

Nice idea but there's no real focal point here, so more DoF would bring out the works more as there's so much interest there.

fabulous macro detail here, love the colour, as it does not depict warmth at all. the softness of the other cogs is great, 10 across the board
