Great shot with implied dynamic movement of time.
The background doesn't look old.
The metal reminds me of some German Anniversary Clocks, but would wood be better?

The idea of the hour glass falling was a good one, like as time goes on that it's going to end and we can't get the past back

Outstanding simplicity and lovely use of light and shadow. The fact that the timer is spotless and pin sharp is really impressive in a Basic challenge (I never have that kind of patience!) and makes the shot.
