Over the past week I enjoyed photographing many locations with the Architecture challenge in mind. This is from the interior of the The New York Marriott Marquis Hotel in midtown Manhattan.
Although for now I've given up on guessing how my photos will score, I hope this one was worth the hassle. The Marriott is huge and has many shops, tourist bars, etc. I've shot there before without incident, however this time an overzealous security guard had me escorted from the building! It was a bit humiliating being treated like a criminal.
Post processing: Color saturation, PSP clarify, shadows, curves, resized, sharpen/USM, border, save with compression.

A new personal best score for me. Thanks, everyone (especially everyone who voted above a 4). All comments received were appreciated. |

I can't believe I missed commenting on your new PB photo! A belated congrats to you.
Very cool photo. I love the little gleams of light coming from the blue and green ring. Someone described it as looking futuristic and I'd have to say it's quite true. Very cool catch. |

I really like the different perspective. The three different light and varying heights very nice tension to the photo. Actually surprise it did not do better. |

Hey Larry,
This is very cool and sci-fi looking. The bright slivers of light are quite cool, and the perspective is nice too. It's got to be frustrating to just try to partake in a hobby and have it go sour on you. Hope it doesn't deter you in the future

PS-love the texture of the concrete, too (I just keep looking at it!) |

Neat elevators but I think there are too many lines and shapes going on for me. |
