These are the Marina City apartments on the Chicago River. This view is from the north side of the river, shot just across the street from the House of Blues, the top of which can be seen in the lower left quadrant.
Was a crappy, rainy day with low misty clouds, which made everything dreary looking and provided no sky detail at all. Decided to blow the sky completely out and try to fill up the frame with as much building details as I could. Not ideal, but I like the effect. I'm guess that the lack of sky detail kills this score-wise.

Ah, I have a shot of the bottom of those towers. Such interesting shapes! I like the angle. |

The building is certainly very interesting. I wonder if there is a way to shoot this structure dead on with no other buildings in the frame? Either way, good eye for detail and perspective. I find the lower right building takes away from an otherwise cool shot. |

Great angle! It actually makes this building look kinda creepy big brotherish. Love the contrast and texture. Good shot |

Love Chicago - pioneering use of concrete. Good tones here. |

I wish you would've left a little detail in the sky but maybe that wasn't possible with this setup. Nice interesting shapes here. -BB |
