like the perspective, a bit more gradual fade into the burn might help |

the tones are good, but i find the vignette too strong, although it does add tunnel vision which isn't too bad. :) |

I have to say that I don't like the tilt either and the vignetting highlights that. However, it does convey a sense of something rocking on water or that someone was drunk and leaning hehe. I like the wire mesh and the selective dodging on the rails. |

The horizon over which dream, nightmares, and the unexpected happens. The viewer is left to imagine. To inspire the viewer's imagination is what I learn from you. |

i see a hole to nowhere - it seems from your comment that you agree - personally, the heavy halo doesn't work for me - but i am not a big fan of heavy handed burning |

Like the parallel lines within each railing and the convergence of the rails, along with the horizontal lines of the boardwalk itself. As for the vignette, well... Actually wonder if you might have gotten the same sort of feeling by cropping a large amount off the top so that the top of each railing is at the top of the photo. |

Am not sure this would even be classed as a vignette? yes it is a tad extreme though as has been said if you don't try stuff you won't move forward.
Very bold choice of edit and a good subject to try it on ;) oh, and I won't mention the tilt (doh!) |

I really like this. Awesome tones and a VERY good B&W image! My only 2 issues are the heavy vignetting at the top and the bridge looks as if it is tilting slightly to the right. Might be my eyes though! Lol. |

I think a little less vignetting at the top would be beneficial to the picture. I do like the texture and the perspective. |

Vignetting is a bit much, but overall a nice B&W. Really nice detail in the wood. |

I also feel the vignette is a bit extreme, maybe cropping the top of the photo would help with the closing in feeling that this has, then again you might be going for that look. |

I find myself ducking as I'm looking at this. Like other commenters, I think the vignetting is a little extreme. I do, however, really like the tone and texture of the wood. |

I like the ever so slightly off kilter feel here, though I'm not really a fan of the extreme vignette (what are you hiding in all that darkness?). Your description reminds me of this song:
"I like studying faces in a parking lot
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like driving backwards in the fog
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything"

I'll weigh in on the vignetting....I don't like it :) I also don't like the slight tilt of the dock, but I'm just obsessive that way. I do like the leading lines drawing you down the dock and off into the ocean and the great patterns on the dock. |

Not quite sure what to think of the black shading at the top. My eye is wanting to view something further out. I have to really use my imagination wit this shot. Not sure that is a good thing or not.
Next shot like this.. run in front of the camera so we can get a shot of your butt walking away from us or you could creep around like a stealth. |

I defnitely liked it very much. There are people who do not like vignette but i think when it is used carefully can be used to accentuate subject. Here it works very well. |

I like week-5 as the title. :-) The vignetting is too strong for my taste, though it does effectively close down the shot - like the other commenter mentioned it's almost like an eye closing. |

Well. . .I actually like the vignaetting. It gives the appearance that the lines are leading you to the light, which makes it seem kind of rich and ethereal. I love the effect of vignaetting. It could be rotated just a smidge to have a perfectly straight horizon, but I think it is a very cool photo.
I'm reading a photography book that says we should do more of this kind of photography, where we take photos of stuff just because we like the way it looks. . not because it has any relevance or specific purposes. It spurs creativity and imagination. :)

Very uneven photo, as far as the vignetting & horizon goes. As an eyelid is closing...

i like the contrast and the leading lines the bridge gives, but i dont like the vignette, the bottom looks real good, but the hard line at the top give a weird feel, maybe to much negitive space |
