 Another rainy day in SF, near Embarcadero. I tried to just have the first bench in focus (did I mention the rain?), with the rest of the benches blurring away. I desaturated the image, rotated ever so slightly, and bumped up the contrast. The original colors were drab and detracted from the shapes and lines in the image.

Very nice in black and white. I like the lone one in the foreground and the others in the background. The arch of the bridge(?) in the background is a nice complement to the arched supports of the benches.

What is it about empty benches? I don't know, but I like them. I guess it's the lonely feeling. B/W works very well.
