Nice sky and birds. The problem for me here is that the focus is on the boat, both in the sharpness and in the lighting, rather than on the birds. The boat adds a nice element, but for me it might have been stronger with a tighter shot on just one of the birds with the boat moving by in the background.

I seldom like landscape shots where the horizon divides the pic in half. The rule of thirds for the horizon would have strangthened this shot considerably. Specifically, I would crop to remove sky, therefore making the foreground, where the birds are, more important. This would put more emphasis on the birds. Technicals all seem ok.

The pelicans look so large, very cool.

Your call of course, but given the lighting in this image and the fact that the bird on the right has some slight blur (seemingly), perhaps cropping out all the right side to allow the left one to dominate... or it may just be that the boat competes too much in this image - the birds seem in the darker area of the image, if that makes sense.

Great pelians, such cool birds..the lighting is nice however it could be a little sharper IMO..

I wish you had moved around a bit to get the boat out of the shot, it takes a bit away from the shot. I like the timing with the colors in the sky.

Eyes are drawn to the sunset and not the birds.

I do like the juxtapostion of the birds watching the people. A little bit of increase in levels in the midtones or a bit of dodging might bring your subjects out a bit more.

Great sky and nice detail on the birds. I don't think I like the inclusion of the boat so much.

nice image, maybe if it was a little closer and cropped more it would be more dramitic?

tighter crop losing the boat would have made a 9 but suffers from the boat. still a good photo

I like the composition, although the boat detracts from the birds. The pelicns seem a bit underexposed.
