 This was taken while children were playing on the beach, this old fellow just sat there and opened his beak if they got close, I believe he thought they were going to feed him.

Lots of good detail here, and an interesting bird for sure. Not thrilling me, however. Maybe it's the near solid dark background, or the crop, but I'm not sure.

That is a big mouth! Great pose for the shot. My only nit is I can't tell if the background is water or ground - the texture of it seems to have been lost either through the lighting or the processing.
