 This mallard pair was about the only decent shot I got this day. Most of the birds were being shy. I photographed these ducks to keep from getting bored while waiting to see if the bald eagles that were hanging out downriver would come closer for a photo.

Shot in raw and converted with Canon DPP. I double converted it with one pass underexposed by 2 stops and combined in Photoshop to darken the water.

In PS, I cropped, sharpened, adjusted the color balance of the water to add some blue tint, adjusted curves and saturation, adjusted levels on the background and darkened the edges some. I resized, sharpened and saved for web.

Nice composition and colors. Looks like some slight movement blur - perhaps by you mostly, as can be seen in the grass.
