Surely an underrated shot . .
Barring the winner it seems my thoughts and scoring were at odds with lots of the final places :- )
This is a really nice shot that grows on you the more you look at it. It has a wonderful depth to the picture both in terms of literal DoF and in terms of seeing all that is in there and what is going on - the life and movement - hustle and bustle of the picture.
Very good - as always . . |

A 5.6?!?!?! What next? OH well. This is incredibly beautiful! and...(don't tell any one I said this, but I think this is better than the top ten winners... ) ;D |

I agree with UrfaTheGreat. I cannot beleive the score this one got. It was by far my favorite of the bunch. |

Great use of shallow DOF to strip out the detail from the child and background - they both provide a context without being the main focus of the image. |

Now how did he catch one? I like how the one guy in the back is watching - trying to find out the fate of his friend. The others are more content to just eat and ignore. Excellent photograph. |

That one on the left looks a little alarmed. Unusual capture, wish there was a fraction sharper focus and/or that 'alarmed one' wasn't so cropped. |

Good use of dof, good to see human interaction in the scene. |

Not as crisp and sharp as I would hope for a shot this close-up. |

This one is begging for a funny caption, but I can't think of one. too bad the boy and the bird in the hand are not in focus, that kind of hurts the application of the title. |

Your title places the subject out of focus.. |

A pleasing image. Something different from the vast majority of the entries. Has more of a story going on than most of the portrait type shots. Bumping up 1. |
