The famous view from my balcony. The green is just blowing my mind - that is so rare here.

And! It rained again today - so that means more green.

Interestingly, when we have wet winters like this, the plants grow and the bunnies have more to eat - so in Spring, you'll see tons of cotton tails as well as jack rabbits bounding around on the mountain - it's like a Disney movie.

Since the bunnies have enough to eat, they reproduce more and since there are then LOTS of bunnies, the coyotes come to feast on them. So soon - and it has already started a bit - I will be hearing the crazy howling of the coyotes at night.

They come very close, but if I step out of the door or onto the balcony, it's like the vanish - the Native Americans view Coyote as the trickster.

My Handsome Kitty was eaten by them summer before last - I still miss him. But I do appreciate the coyotes and feel lucky to have all this animal life in the middle of the city.

We hear the coyotes @ night too and it's eerie when they have gotten something..
Fortunately kitty is in most of the time when she does step out it's usually right around the deck and garage..

Love your view..

Wow, that's in the middle of the city? Seems a beautiful place, somewhere I'm going to have to visit at some point :)

Still green, that's nice. From this view I am not seeing the city but I like the green.

Coyotes have moved in around here, too, but before that there were foxes and hawks and the occasional escaped dogs. My cat(s) don't go out anymore. Mixed blessing, having so much of nature on one's doorstep.

Wow, thanks for the information. I love seeing coyotes, but then worry about the kitties. Very green and lovely sky.
