The billboard in the background draws my attention more than the bird, and the out of focus lamp is just a distraction. The juxtaposition of the billboard and pigeon could still work well, but the photo would need to be cropped differently: eliminate the right side of the photo, turning the shot into a vertical with the pigeon in the lower right area.

i don't think it's a bad photo, but it seems unbalanced or something. the face makes it interesting. maybe cropping it differently...portrait aspect maybe?

Nice pigeon. Maybe if the right side of the frame was not there, it would be more dramatic. The billboard face could be peeking out at the pigeon.

The eye in the poster behind him is freaky. Nice detail on the pigeon; Not sure if I like the fact that the strong verticals give him 3 different backgrounds.
