 We have a break before the next storm is supposed to come in this afternoon. Down on the wharf again, but this time with about a 30 mph. wind blowing. I was fascinated watching the seagulls facing into the wind and just hanging there, motionless. They looked like they were having a lot of fun. I, on the other hand, was having a hard time holding the camera steady. This is an "accidental" shot, and I like it a lot better than most of my deliberate ones this morning.

P.S. Whatever that white spot is behind the bird, it's in the shot. I didn't put it there. 8)

oh ! this is simply fabulous! look at all that mtion! you really caught the wind and the gull "kite"' being buffeted by it..you are so good at these movement images, Germaine! I love the look of the water racing below him, and the contrast w/that gorgeous sunny sky!

The white patch behind the gull really frames it. Catching these in the frame is pretty hard, IMO, as they always seem to wheel at random. I think you did really well with the blur in this to add some mood.

Really shows the elements of nature at work- nice capture ! Do you live near- LA-my son lives there,but he never tells me about the weather :)
