 I love this location - but I can only get in to it off season. It is a little private beach club near where I work. I love the repeating lines of the beach bungalows. I tried a few shots early last year for a perspective challenge, but I was still a bit novice on composition and they did not come off very well. Hopefully, this one comes off a bit better.

Single RAW image opened in Elements 3.0. Adjusted levels, converted to b/w using Hue/Saturation, Noise Ninja. Cropped to size. Added duplicate layer to mask out slightly blown out section and another dup layer to smooth sky relative to the ground. Save for web. Opened and adjusted USM at small/ large radius.

Hoping for a 6 in the 6 challenge...

I struggle to see why this didnt score higher. Great sharpness and dof and a love range of strong - yet not overpowering - tones in the black and white conversion.

Almost seems like you're happening upon an unexpected scene. It's a bit eerie, which I think goes well with the conversion. Underrated, imo.

More interesting than most. I quite like how it begins to be about only vertical lines; although that isn't followed through to the obvious conclusion, I think there is anough of that implication to be intriguing.

The more I look at this, the more I find myself liking the image. The harsh shadow line is a bit distracting. Also, it did take me a few seconds to force my eyes to the right side to find the connection to the challenge.
