| i have always always loved this photo. the colors are gorgeous, its just wrong it scored under a 6. i guess the background is a teeny bit distracting, but thats the only fault i can see here |

Coming from this thread I find it both interesting and sad that this is the first image that has 'hit' me.
Sorry to hijack your image Chromeydome but I started the above thread to try and distract myself from sitting here alone remembering the events of 2 years ago. When I viewed this image for the first time it was almost two years to the minute that I received the call from hospital that I should return as my daughter Rose was not going to survive till morning.
This is comment # 1,000 here at dpc, sadly I've renamed the image 'Cancer'

I think this is a very pleasing image, and in ant other challenge would have scored so much better.....
I really like the composition, subject matter, color, and textures. I also just like the simplicity of this one very much. |

| I would ignore the score on this one - you are going against the best of 2007 with people who love lots of editing. Honestly, this is simple and beautiful. Well composed, perfectly focused, the colors pop... I wouldn't change a thing. |

| I really like this. The colors are beautiful! It's nice with that one leaf sort of sticking up away from the rest, adding interest. And in Seattle! (I just saw that ... I love Seattle). |

| Maybe a little too isolated by empty space for me. I'd love to see some more of the details on the leaves. still worth a solid 6, in spite of my nitpick. |

| I like the rule of thirds here...image is a little dull, may have liked some difussed light to brighten a bit while minimzing the shadows. May have pumped up the colours a bit. Good Luck. 4. |

| evokes a feeling of illness with all of the insect holes.....which isn't all bad because it isn't your day to day shot....I gave you above average because of that. |
