| Eagle Days? How nice! It's our Winter Bird Festival. Cute little cardinal. I always picture them in snowy scenes like this one. Imagine my surprise when I was in Hawaii last month on vacation and saw cardinals at the beach. |

| Wow, it's so cold that it's frozen most of his color off LOL. The red against the bland colors behind is enough to make him stand out though. I like being able to see everything in the shot clearly, as It would be if I was there looking at it. I have a couple of good cardinal shots, but I used a very long lens to get them. They are flighty. |

| The splash of red in the frame is really quite pleasing. I like the ROT composition, too. |

| The cardinals really stand out in the snow. Hare to get a good exposure with the white and the red but you've done it. Does look a bit soft for focus but the birds do not stay around all that long. |

Lucky u caught this fellow. They are the most elusive of all birds i think as have spent many moments trying to catch a good foto of them.. Yet to succeed..
Anyhow, agree shallower dof and needs sharpening then he would really stand out..
I give u alot of credit tho for catching Mr. Elusive in any form.. |

Nice composition; could, indeed, be improved with shallower DOF and better focus on the red guy. I tried to photograph one yesterday but it was during the snowstorm and invariably some flake was right in front of his eye or something equally inconvenient. They're just starting to get really red and they look so gorgeous against snow!
Hoping you get an eagle; that would be very cool! |

| This is a lovely find. You could improve the impact with sharper focus on the little red guy and use of a shallower depth of field to reduce some of the distraction caused by the many branches and background. I really like these birds but have never been around them. You have made me want to find a cardinal in my new area. |
