 Took this shot while I was out looking for something to put in the Abandoned buildings challenge, then used roz's grungy s4w texture with multiply mode.

The first thing I thought of was the Whomping Willow from Harry Potter ;-) Sort of a brooding feel to this that makes the tree look somewhat sinister.

gosh this is so emotive and great in its simplicity, yet it is so complex in terms of its textures...is that a pair of ballet shoes hanging there in the branches??

i cannot explian it but for some reason this brings to mind Dorothy & the Wizard of Oz?? (maybe it's good I'm getting out of here for awhile eh? :)

This is different. The texture layer makes it look like it is dropping the last leaves. I can see why you would want to get a photo of this tree.
