Really, I thought this was good and would place higher, even with a tenuous connection to the challenge. Walking is exactly what people do by the river and I have no doubt the blue in the background is your river. It's a cool picture, regardless of the challenge. |

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I realize that I took a chance with this entry in that it doesn't obviously meet the challenge. I was down by the river taking some test shots with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and I quite liked this shot. I haven't participated in a challenge for a while so thought I'd drop a picture in for a change... I have some interesting takes on 'framed' but I don't think I want another sub-5 score so maybe I'll pass :-)
watch this space for some more mainstream entries soon... LOL

I rather like this one, both the thumbnail and the full size image - they're both the same, really. Good you had the courage to enter this one... |

It's definitely an interesting shot, but sort of hard to tell there is a river there. |

Interesting image but I don't see the challenge. |

Wow, amazing, the warmth and blurred sections really make this for me :) |

I think I would have aimed the focus at the top of the grass and let the rest blur out. Right now your focus is on the base of the stocks and isn't so interesting. Sorry. |

Except for the title, I don't see the connection to the challenge. DNMC. |

An absolutely beautiful shot. I only wish that the river, stream, etc. was obvious in the shot. I assume that the figures in the background are walking by the river, or this grass is growing there, but I can't know for sure. |

I believe you were down by the river - awesome "out of box" photo! |

I love the pretty bokehed background, but something seems a little off to me, I think I'd preferred it if there were only one person, or if the two figures weren't so symmetrical. but then again, to each their own. |

Creative, but it doesn't jump up and say river. SO as a picture says a thousand words, this photo would not say "river" without your title. |

o, the bravery. a lovely, quiet, mysterious image. the subtle blue, the bowed heads, the golden grass. well done indeed. |

If it wasn't for the title I'd have no idea that this was in anyway connected to the challenge. |
