This morning, staggering out of bed with my giant snot head, I see this in the sink: a black iron baking pan and my big spoon. Thought I'd give y'all a break from my Florida photos and show some of my "real life" - haha! It's really not that bleak.

This is what I did:

Crop
Lucis Exposure
Resize
Perfectum
Lightened in Hue/Sat
Flaming Pear Kyoto Color (which achieved the BW tones)
xero filter Clarity
another pass with Lucis Exposre
Redfield Perfectum (I really hate grain)
Smart sharpen
brightened with levels
cropped a bit more
resized again
saved

I was thinking it was a spoon full of medicine!

Nothing wrong with the spoon. Is it really crinkled?

What's cool is that it's a bit abstract too. Making spoons floating in water something to look at? Nice!

Not a bad composition to wake up to. B&W is perfect for this and the water looks really interesting in and around the spoon.

The water effect on the bowl of the spoon is great. The desaturated treatment gives it a really stark look.

I first thought your spoon was dented horribly then I noticed the water creating the effect. B&W is great here. Hope you are feeling much better soon.

I think this is great, actually - taking something really common and making a visually interesting photo. I really dig the almost silky texture of the metal underneath the water.
