 I struggled with the theme, "Portrait with Spectacles". I wanted an image that was unique or contained some hidden value. Then I thought...Why don't I just have the "glasses" tell the story? I figured if I positioned the camera at the right angle I could magnify the message through the "Spectacles". I purchased a $5.00 pair of reading glasses from the thrift store and started working on the angles. I found that the hard light gave me a more dramatic image. Then I noticed the cross in the shadows. Suddenly I had a theme. I grabbed a bible, found 1Cor 13:13 "...now abide faith, hope and love...The greatest of these is love."

Faith is represented by the cross
Hope is in the words of scripture
Love is symbolized by the heart

Obviously this is the message delivered by a man of the cloth. It is the representation of a minister or the Portrait of a Preacher.

Nice focus on the glasses and the words behind them. I like how you also focused on the shadow as well.
