Eva has been at the shelter for months, and is still as outgoing as ever. As soon as she saw me in the room she ran down and tried to push her nose through the little airhole ... didn't quite fit, but she got my attention :-) She is really one of the sweetest lap cats I've met, but we STILL keep getting kittens and the adult cats get overlooked. We even had her on TV and she let the anchor hold and pet her, and still no takers.

Another couple of views of the cat condos (new in July):

The cats are much more relaxed than they were in cages and upper respiratory diseases no longer run like wildfire through the cats! The dog kennels still look jail-like but the cats are sitting pretty these days.

I have a cat that looks EXACTLY like her!! His name is Not-Bear, long story...well the cliff notes version is he had an almost twin brother we (my Ex and I) named Bear, we would have to pick them up and look at their chest markings to tell which was which..."nope this is "not bear" so after his brother (at a very young age) was hit by a car he became Not-Bear, lol. Nice shot!

I'd adopt her if I could, can't pass up those eyes! It's a shame that the older animals get passed over when there are younger ones available.

Getting a shot of a cat with an expression like this is difficult enough. To get it with the airhole so brilliantly positioned multiplies that difficulty by many orders of magnitude. The crop you've chosen is outstanding, too.

Aww that stinks, I could imagine that'd be a hard part of working at a shelter, seeing the same ones getting passed over. Hopefully she finds a happy home soon!

Sorry to hear about Eva's situation, she looks like a lovely cat. Very similar markings to my own cat, Freddie. I'd certainly be tempted to offer her a home if I wasn't in a different country! Good sharp image too.

Does the circle on her nose cause people concern? lol! Beautiful capture of her eyes. She looks content where she is.

Pretty kitty! I hope Eva finds a home soon. I wanted to volunteer at the shelter but my husband was concerned that I would bring all the animals home.

Wow, what amazing sharp eyes. I love how cats have a way of looking at you and see right through your soul. One of their many mysterious powers...
