I have no idea if this even comes close to being the idea of timelapse...cause I thought time lapse was many photos set up in a video thing...but this was really fun to do. I have an outtake that i might post later, which maybe is closer to being time lapse...but I just like this one better. The model is my boyfriend.

GeneralE: okay now tell me what single motion this is.

sher: the single motion of a self-embrace.

muckpond: yeah, I do this all the time. One motion.

Um, 6 fingers on one hand? Your beloved has many fingers as well as many hands and a few arms.

Nice idea - I like the 6 finger hand under the armpit...

This is wonderful. It shows the duality (quadrality) of our own personas. Lighting is great as are the poses.

The six-fingered hand makes me giggle, and squirm! Nice lighting and conversion though.

Interesting to learn the sc has considered this to be a sequence of a single natural motion. Good luck!!. No vote

it's kind of confusing what's going on with all those hands. the one on the left of the photo looks like it has 6 fingers rather than that it moved. i like it in a strange way, but i don't think it demonstrates 'time lapse' very well.

The hand in the armpit makes it look like he has 6 fingers.

An Englishman, an Irishman, a Welshman, a Scotsman, a priest and a Rabbi walked into a pub and the landlord said: "Is this some sort of joke?"

Awesome idea. I can't wait to see after the challenge if these were all his hands. Good choice of black and white to focus on the subject.

Thought about doing this as well, though facing forward in a fat, middle-aged white man sort of hindu goddess thing. Your approach is probably more viewer considerate.

The shot is well done as far as the combination of exposures, but I think you could have made more of it maybe. Good luck!

For continuity sake i hope this gets DQ'd, i have no problem with the entry - i think it is rather good actually - but the SC was saying that "posed" time lapse which wasnt natural movement does not qualify as time-lapse...

great concept youve got here but i think this wouldve done better If you had used a womans hands with the man standing there...at least for me. the hand on the torso looks like its got a few too many fingers. try putting a bit of light on the right side of the photo..doesnt have to be as strong bu you want a bit of light over there. also try either moving the one light back a bit or using a sheet to diffuse the light a bit as you have a bit of a hot spot there(could be my monitor tho). your focus and comp and POV are perfect for a shot like this. good luck. this is just my unprofessional opinion.. just trying to help.
