 This is probably the most complicated picture to assemble...ever. It was a lot of fun learning how to put a time lapse shot together, but there has to be an easier way that I do not know about.

Anyways, after separating the model out of seven different shots to assemble the time lapse, I used levels, curves, hue saturation, selective color to boost the blue in the jacket, resize, USM on each layer to sharpen each pic of the model, then save for web. I also cloned out a fence from the background. I spent about 7 hrs working on the shot. I hope it was worth it.

P.S. The original size does this shot a much better justice that the reduced size.

P.P.S. I first submitted the color version, then had doubts so I went with the black and white.

really a nice shot, should've scored better than it did, at least a six. Probably adding some contrast here would have added something to the shot, and i really like the choice to go black and white. Great expressions as well, very nice.

The memories this brings me puts the biggest smile on my face and warmth in my heart. Great eye contact and fun expressions from your subject. But do boys ever need to really "revisit"? I thought they were always there...

I like that your subject is moving to the left out of the frame (which to me represents moving back to the past - childhood!) Great shot, what an exuberant subject! 9

I can so see myself doing this. My only nitpick is the one of you all the way back can be seen through, as if it was part of a long-exposure.

Lack of shadows is a bit odd and some positions are sharper than others. Might have been more consistent (spacing wise) to have just one position on the backswing rather than 2. Other than that, good B&W conversion and use of the wide aspect ratio frame

I like it. Looks like it was a fun shoot. I like the balck and white. Only thing I don't like it is looks soft to me. The frame at the rear could have been omitted. You have some serious potential on this shot, I think the aperture just need to be opened up a bit more to get mor ein focus.

When composing a photographe always try to ensure that the background doesn't compete with your main attraction, especially when using b/w which relies on contrast to pick out the main elements. The swing in this image is lost in the trees, as are the first 5 steps. Needs work on composition.

LOL - what fun! I love the smile on the middle guy. The image needs some brightening, though. See how the snow almost matches the gray DPC background? Try setting exposure compensation to +1 when shooting on snow or sand or other very bright backgrounds.
