I like the way that this almost appears like a sneak peek through the trees. |

This is a really beautiful photo. Good that you are drawing the DOC's attention to the problem. |

On the thumb it almost looked like a lagoon - really lush. |

I like the composition of this shot a lot, with the curve in the water. If it is supposed to be a natural conservation area, then maybe they don't want it to look like a golf course? I would guess that the weeds may be exotic species. We get a lot of that sort of thing here in Florida. In that case, they do need to be removed to allow the native plants to do their thing.
Good move to use your camera to help the local environment. : ) |

With the world becoming much easier to travel, it̢۪s sad to see non native plants taking over worldwide. |

It is lovely. I like your natural framing. I do hope that the DOC does something about it. |

In the States, the best thing to do would be to keep the DOC out of the situation :)Great photo though, I particularly like your framing. |

"My" wetlands (a few miles away) practically dried up this summer and early fall when we had a drought. Is was so sad to see cracked mud where there should have been streams :-( And the wildlife mostly vanished. Finally got a fair amount of precipitation in December and the water level has recovered quite a bit, and the birds are back :-) I think wetlands have so much beauty to offer. Hope "yours" gets the attention it needs. |
