Thank you all for your loving words. I was going for dark, but I knew it would have been nice for a little more but found the placement of another candle (to add the extra light) a little distracting. |

Good strong statement. I now you were going for the candle as your main source, but I would have liked to see a little more fill to help make the ink well a little more clear. It also would have focused attention on the journal and writing instruments instead of the candle. My eyes keep drifting to the flame. |

Very nice. The only thing I can find wrong with it is that the candle's a tad bright. |

Neat idea, especially the broken quill! I think it would be better if there were more light on the left side. |
