I'm not home, currently, so this is a photo of where I am: visiting Mom in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Today I was at the beach and stalked this pelican. I got a ton of shots in before she decided to fly off.

This is processed with extreme levels to bring out the highkey effect, Lucis Art and Perfectum. Sharpened and saved.

Nice shot Alicia! The new camera seems to be working for you. I love the fact you captured both the birds reflection and it's shadow. Really nice one.

You've really nailed that high-key look. The foreground reflection is great. It all makes it look as though the pelican (? I could be wrong) is heading off into the unknown.

Perfectly timed capture and I love what you did with the processing. The shadow actually crosses the reflection ... that is really intriguing!

Are you kidding me? This is such an amazing stop of motion! WOW! It's amazing to see what you're doing for "fun" these days! Great composition, I love the high key half of it, the detail of the flowers, and the subtle touch of the feathers against the sand. What a lot to just enjoy.

This is great! At first I thought the background was too white then, I clicked on it to view it bigger, and the white doesn't bother me. I think it's great, and I'm jealous that you're in Florida!

Hi Alicia! I always enjoy your images and this one is no exception! I love the highkey effect, the nice reflection on the water and how the wings barely touch the sand. Nice capture.
