 8 tulips on a black velvet background. I originally lit this with four clamp lamps and then paired down to two, each at the base of the shooting area and pointing up to a white piece of poster board over the shooting area. Even though these tulips are not particularly glossy, one was picking up some noticeable glare on the left. I placed a small reflector in front of the light and that knock the glare out. Shot with the camera on tripod and used the cable remote. I move the angle to right three times. This is from the last set.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Spot edited dust off the tulips and leaves. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

Nice soft lighting :)
Wouldn't have minding a little contrat boost to this one, to help isolate the flowers even more and darken the background completely pitch black.

This is a pleasant enough image. Although it should be said that the lighting is somewhat flat.

You're obviously pretty handy with a camera - perhaps you could have demonstrated a little more originality in respect of the subject, the composition, or just the lighting.
