In the heart of Rigaud Mountain, this stream is the run off of a large beaver dam to the west. Beavers are very common in this part of the mountain with many damaged or downed trees in close vicinity to where this picture was taken. Unfortunately, we are seeing more and more development (homes) in this area of the mountain. Although the houses are well spread out (couple of acres per lot), its getting harder to escape their view.
