 This shot was taken near where I live. It was about 7:30am, before all the fishermen show up and take their small boats out (usually 8:30 here on the weekends.)

The inlet was dead quiet because Hong Kongers are late risers. The fog has been in for several days, and that has the tendency to make everyone sleep in a little more than usual.

We climbed down some rocks to get to water's edge, and took a few pictures. The photoshop work is limited to levels, unsharp mask, cropping, and a little saturation and hue.

This image is indeed a timeless winner. It speaks of the softer emotions withing our souls. Just looking at it "silences" the soul and places us in a holy communion with nature. Great job, great feelings and above all a wonderful capture that will remain permanent in our hearts.

Very Nice, What are those two breaks in the water just below the boat, if you would have waited just a moment more for these to pass a Perfect 10. Those breaks tend to break the silence of the scene...

The colours of the boat really sing out against the misty water and sky. Great composition too and I like the little dot of that bouy - it's like a full stop after the flourish of a signature (written right to left). 9

A lovely picture here, with a delicious contrast of colorful boat and gray water/fog.

There is something about the geometry of the objects, the land, the margins - the "feng shui?- which is not quite perfect to my jaundiced eye. I want to move that buoy! I'm sure it is just me, but I wanted to mention it, in case you felt it too.

Very strong score with me. :)

I love this shot! It screams silence (hehe.. little bit of an oxymoron, there. I suppose I should say that it whispers silence!). I love the colors and the angle. This is one of my very most favorite photos in this challenge.
