Nice idea, but the sky just doesn't look right around the top of the barn. Perhaps you used a touch too much image compression?

I would recomend longer exposure and also setting the withe balance to bring out more of the warm colors of sunset.

I feel more isolated than anything in this photo

reminds me of a song...

waiting for the day to end
though silence came too late
turn my eyes inside
close the lids
deny the world to enter

nice pic - 7

the only problem with this pic is the vigenetting around the barn/house thingie. It makes it look like you superimposed the image onto the sky.

You know.. there were quite a few evening and landscape shots in this challenge and I really wasn't impressed with most of them. They were pretty, sure, but just not very dynamic, in my opinion. However.. when I came across your photo, I just sat and stared. It's beautiful. I love the very tiny hint of sunset, and the silhouettes of the trees, but also the touch of fences against snow. The little "scratch" in the sky is unfortunate but... as many things as you can control in photography, you can't control nature! Maybe you would edit that out, if you were to make a print. I'm not really sure (I'm new to all of this!) Lovely job! One of my favorites in the entire challenge!

edit - (Uncoftunate was really unfortunate.. wow.. odd spelling, I have. Fixed it! After the challenge, this is still one of my favorite shots.)

Beautiful picture, but there's noticable fringing above the head of the building. I would have liked to see more detail on the building, since the edges are so etched.

A little too dark I think.

Nice entry for this challenge. Little noise...it happens. Good luck.
