Good choice to use a vertical composition for this. It helps emphasize the rope ladder, however, the lack of contrast tends to make the ladder blend with the background. |

much too small and not very interesting... it may or may not convey silence, but it doesn't really matter... 2. |

I guess silence doesn't necessarily always mean lack of ALL sounds. Perhaps just a lack of a PARTICULAR sound, like this one. The kids have been silenced... This picture grows on me the more I look at it. |

I like this, but would like to see the ladder off to the left of the image instead of in the center of the image. |

still a 7 for the silence of the children that aren't there. |

Nice shot, but a little to little. |

It's good, but small. Also, perhaps a shot where the ladder was more distance and the open space was more predominant would better convey silence. |

This is an excellent photograph but the size lessens the impact. B&W is a good choice |

Sorry, too small, can't make out any detail....it's too bad because it looks like it might be a great pic, really can't tell though. |

I wish the image was larger so I could see more detail. I'm confused about what is on the ground, and all of the lines from the sticks and bushes add to the confused feeling a bit. However, the main composition is good with the large tree and the ladder making a nice dynamic composition that keeps the eye in the frame. |

from what I can see, this is a good idea (picture is too small) I'd suggest some what to focus my attention on the fadder more (e.g. blur the background) |
